Is a refurbished phone worth it?
What “refurbished” really means, what to check before you buy, and why it can be the smarter choice.
Refurbished isn’t the same as used
A used phone is sold as it is. A refurbished phone has been checked, repaired where needed, wiped and cleaned before it’s sold again.
What to look for
A warranty of at least 12 months, a returns window long enough to try it properly, a clear battery health figure, and photos or a report for the exact unit.
Where the saving comes from
You pay for a device that already exists, rather than one made from scratch. The saving against new is usually biggest on models one or two generations old.
How Phonify does it
Every device is tested on 40 points in our own UK workshop, comes with an 18-month warranty and 30 days to change your mind, and has its own Device Report.
